What is the Building Industry Association?
We are a professional, non-profit, trade association affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Ohio Home Builders Association (OHBA).Our goals are the promotion of new home construction, home remodeling, membership education, consumer education, and sensible regulations dealing with home construction. Our paramount responsibility is to our customer, our community and our country.

What can “Do Business With A Member” do for ME?
The membership, which consists of contractors, subcontractors, suppliers of material and services necessary for the building, remodeling and maintenance of homes, has agreed to abide by the written code of ethics that we firmly stand behind.

How does the Building Industry Association of North Central Ohio give back to the communities?
Just to name a few:

  • Habitat for Humanities
  • Pioneer Career and Technology Center
  • Mansfield Senior High Construction Program
  • Madison Comprehensive High School Construction Program
  • Underprivileged children in the Richland-Crawford-Ashland-Morrow County Areas.

The Building Industry Association of North Central Ohio (BIA) is a trade association representing builders and their associate vendors and subcontractors in Richland, Ashland and Crawford Counties of North Central Ohio.  The BIA is affiliated with the Ohio Home Builders Association (OHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

The BIA’s Mission is to assist and enable its members to acquire, serve, and satisfy their customers.  The BIA pursues this Mission by:

  • Providing quality technical and management training and educational programs and networking opportunities.
  • Promoting good business ethics and sound business practices.
  • Offering money saving benefits and referring business leads.
  • Influencing public policy in order to promote attainable housing for the communities served.
  • Community involvement, consumer education, and awareness of issues affecting residential construction.
  • Providing a standard of excellence by which others are measured.
  • Enhancing the image of contractor professionalism to government, industry, and the public.
  • Maintaining and expanding the BIA’s membership base and sphere of influence.
  • Continuing to serve as the voice of the building industry in North Central Ohio.
